Brenna Tedstrom

Hello, I can't wait to meet you!

I grew up in Denver, Colorado and ended up in Portland, Oregon after I acquired a Bachelor of Science in canine psychology and training techniques from Bergin University of Canine Studies. I promise to bring you a better understanding of how your dog learns and how to change their behavior using current, science-based techniques with long-term and lasting results.

I worked as a trainer at Guide Dogs for the Blind for a couple of years before deciding to work privately with dog owners and the exciting world of individualized dog training goals.  I now share my dog training knowledge with the Portland Metro Area's pet owners. I want to help you get the most out of your dog (and your dog get the most out of you).

In my free time, I love to listen to live music. I also love to do a couple lead/follow partner dances called Lindy Hop and Balboa to traditional swing jazz music. I also love to enjoy the outdoors through walks, hiking, swimming, and more.

Are you ready to meet me?

"Brenna is a fantastic trainer and we are so grateful for her help in addressing training and behavioral concerns with our dogs. Brenna's work with our youngest dog, Stella, was invaluable. Stella was extremely anxious - to the point that we could not train her at all."

"Brenna helped us get Stella (and ourselves) more comfortable and confident so that we could actually walk her up and down the street without crumbling into an anxiety crisis. Stella's quality of life, and ours, has improved greatly. Our vet comments every time that Stella is like a whole new dog and we have Brenna to thank for that!"

Inclusivity is important to me.

Tedstrom Dog Training is committed to providing a respectful and supportive learning space for all pet parents. We strive to create training programs that help support pet guardians regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, socioeconomic status, or neurodiverse identity.

All pet parents deserve to feel welcome and respected during their training sessions, and to know that we are here to support them in their training goals.
